Understanding Digital Enterprise Level 1 & 2

This project will deliver training for people to embrace Digital Enterprise Skills and knowledge. Once someone has completed this project’s training, they will have the skills and knowledge required to run their organisation. The training course’s content will include planning, organising, administration, communications, publicity, promotion, how to manage finance in an organisation, how to bid successfully for contracts and how to access help and support when needed.

Taking a responsible approach to company names

Anyone setting up a company must choose an appropriate company name. In 2024, Companies House rejected 560 applications because the proposed name had the potential to offend.

Reasons we might reject a company name

Using a sensitive word or expression is just one reason why Companies House may reject a company name at incorporation. Other reasons include:
the name being the same as an existing name
the name using a restricted term without authority.
